The Academy of Hair Design was born out of a necessity to provide beginning hair designers with the skills necessary to begin their career and to be successful as a professional hair designer.
As the owners of a respected and rapidly growing salon chain, we realized the need for better, more comprehensive training at the beginning levels. We developed an in-salon educational program that required every new staff member to attend and pass as a qualification to perform services on salon clients.
Our program has been extremely successful. However, the salon staffing requirements have grown to a point that it is no longer practical or productive to continue basic training in the salon. That is why we pursued our vision to open an academy that would serve as a training ground for forward-thinking and motivated students who wanted to pursue a serious career in hair design.

Advanced Continuing Education

Continuing education is a core value in our vision to provide the absolute best services to our clients. Duncan Bros. Salon hosts many local training events, which are open to all hair designers who desire to attend. These events are at minimal cost and are host to the top educators in our field; representatives from L'Oreal, Toni and Guy and Vidal Sassoon, to name a few.
